Yesterday (26th August) a very important day in all houses, where Krishna Jayanthi celebrated in a grand manner. Today (27th August) Once in a year our kutty kannan will have a grand purappadu in Thiruvallikeni Parthasarathy Perumal temple. At Evening, there will be a uriyadi thiruvizha, where people will try to hit the pot which hung up high...

Sri Alavandhar Sattrumurai Purappadu - Thiruvallikeni Sri Parthasarathy Perumal
Today (06th August) Aadi Uthiradam, Thirunakshatram of Sri Alavandhar, born in 916A.D. at Kattu mannar kovil. He was son of Ishwara Muni and a grand son of Sri Nathamuni. Alavandhar was the one who pronounced Swami Ramanuja as his successor.
The following Thaniyan is a popular Thaniyan on Sri Yamunacharya or Sri Alavandar by Sri Ramunajar.
