Gajendra Moksham one of the most beautiful stories that a kids needs to know.
Once there was a fight between a Crocodile and an Elephant named Gajendra, Crocodile caught the elephants leg, despite being big and strong. Elephant couldn’t release himself from the jaws of the Crocodile. Finally, Gajendra put all his hope on God and called out Maha Vishnu.
Maha Vishnu heard the cries of the Gajendra and appeared on his Garuda. He sent his Sudharsana Chakkra whirling down and killed the Crocodile. Gajendra thanked Maha vishnu by offering a Lotus.
The Story is so simple that, We have to trust in God completely and cry for his blessings. He is there for us to help.
On August 10, 2014, It was Gajendra Moksham here in Triplicane/Thiruvallikeni. Due to the heavy rain, there was no Purappadu. But Devotees had enjoyed the Garuda Sevai for our Parthasarathy.
Lord Krishna's birthday on Rohini nakshathiram in the month of Avani, One of the most auspicious day in a year. In our Parthasarathy temple, Sri Jayanthi was celebrated on 16th September 2014 in Peyalwar sannadhi. Next day, our little Krishna in Sesha vahanam on Kalinga inside Sesha Vahanam.

Kairavini Pushkarani is the name of the Parthasarathy Perumal tank. Kairavini means the pond of Lily. The yearly float festival (Theppothsavam) will be held for 7 days on this tank.
On First three days Sri Parthasarathy Perumal seats on a floating structure made of drums, wood and ornamented with lights. The next four days were dedicated to our Sri Narasimha Swamy(Thelma Singar), Sri Varadharaja Perumal, Sri Ranganathar and Sri Ramar.

Thiruppan Azhwar, A Devotee who is the incarnaion of Sri vatsa mark, but born in a Low Paner caste. Amalanadhipiran, only 10 Versers, considered to be one of the best verses of Naalayira Divya prabandham. All 10 Verses describes the beauty of the Supreme God Lord Ranganatha, from Lords Thirupadam to Thirumudi.
Azhwar, even though born in low caste, he was an aderent deevotee of Sri Ranganatha Perumal. Once When a Sri Rangam archaga, Saranga muni, pelt a stone on azhwar. Lord Ranganatha insisted Saranga muni to take Thiruppan Azhwar to him for his mistake on Bhagavatha Apacharam. Saranga muni felt sorry, reached Azhwar, and took him on his shoulders. Azhwar who first rejects but finally accepts and reached Sri Rangam.
Azhwar stood down, raised his hands and started singing the verses describing the beauty of the Lord. After the last verse.
with this he merged to Lord himself, That was his devotion to our Lord.
So today is Rohini in KArthigai, Thiruppan Azhwar thirunakshatram and Thiru Karthigai Dheepam. Our Parthasarathy with Thiruppan azhwar had a periya veedhi purappadu. Before we had a chokka panai.
Adiyen... If anyone found any error please inform me so I will correct them..
Being True to his Achariyan and Being true to his disciples, will make a perfect Achariyan…
Sri Nampillai as Varadharjara was the disciple of Sri Najeeyar, Who had written a vyakhyanam called “9000ppadi” for Nammazhwar Thiruvaymozhi
Sri Nampillai who had many great disciples, one among them was Vadakku Thiruveethi Pillai who wrote “36000ppadi” Vyakhyanam based on Nampillai’s discourses.
By Saying these two examples, we can never limit the achievements of Sri Nampillai.
Some of the beautiful notes that Adiyen wants to present from an Achariyan Sri U Ve Elayavalli Bhuvarahachariar Swami.
Nampillai asked his teacher:
"How can a man understand that he has the qualities of a Srivaishnava?" (It means what are the special identifying characteristics of a Srivaishnava).
Sri Nanjeeyar's Answer:
(a) If a man comes to know that the Lord Sriman Narayana in his Archavatara (in his idol form in temples and other places) does possess all His supreme powers as in Srivaikunta Loka, he can consider himself to be a Srivaishnava.
(That means it is very difficult for an ordinary person to have great faith in Archavatara. The moment he thinks that Archavatara has both paratva and soulabhya, he becomes a Srivaishnava. Archavatara Pravanya as Thirumangai Alwar possessed is a very important criterion for a Srivaishnava, which is very difficult to get).
(b) A man in general loves his son and wife very dearly. If he possesses that much love and affection towards a Srivaishnava, he can consider himself as included in the list of Srivaishnavas. (The man is expected to shower more love on a Srivaishnava than he does toward his family members. Here it is amusing to see that some concession is allowed by Sri Nanjeeyar.)
(c) When abused by a Srivaishnava, if a man does not become angry, but on the contrary receives his wrathful words with a cheerful countenance and as an enjoyable pleasure he is a Srivaishnava.
Therefore a man should possess these three important qualities as explained before. They are:
1. Archaavatara Paratva Buddhi
2. Bhaagavatha Prema
3. Bhagavatha Katinokthi Bhogyatha Buddhi
If any one after close examination of him finds that he is in possession of these three virtues, he can conclude within himself that he is a Srivaishnava.
The above made my day.... My love to our Lord Parthasarathy is boundless...
Dear Friends, As I couldn't attend the Kaisika Dwadesi Purappadu of our Sri Parthasarathy Perumal held on December 03,2014. Please kindly bear with me, But I am presenting you the pictures I have taken Last year Kaisika Dwadesi Purappadu and the Video of the Same.
Adiyen.. Sri Nampillai Varushothsavam started this year on 02 December 2014. Nampillai Sannadhi located next to Sri Peyalwar sannadhi in Peyalwar Kovil street, Triplicane. Nampillai utsavams celebrated yearly in a grand manner with the rendering of Thiruvaimozhi.
Kasiaka Ekadesi is celebrated in the Tamil Month of Karthigai in the Sukla Pakshma. The Message behind the day is that caste is not a hindrance in obtaining Sri Mahavishnu and try Bhakthi alone is enough.
This story happened in the beautiful Divyadesam of Thirukurungudi. Thirukarungudi Deity Nambi used to listen to the ghanam of a great bhkata called Nampaduvan who was born in Chandala kulam. Once Nambaduvan, was confronted by a Brahma Rakshasa, who expressed his desire to eat Nambaduvan. Nambaduvan was happy to offer his body for Brahma Rakshasa. But he prayed to the Rakshasa to spare some time so that he may go to the temple and sing the songs and return. But Rakshasa was not ready to grant his request. But Nambaduvan made 18 oaths to the effect that he would certainly return. One Such was:
If I fail to return, Let me suffer a sin of “Who ever thinks that Lord Siman Narayana is equivalent with other devathas.”
With this Brahma Rahshasa accepted his request and waited there for Nambaduvan’s return. Nambaduvan happily went to Sri Kurungudi temple, rendered pastramis on Sriv Vadivazhagiya Nambi. The last pastrami that he rendered on Nambi was based on Kasika pan.
On Nambaduvan’s return, Nambi Himself in disguise of an old man advised Nambaduvan to take alternate route . But Nambaduvan says that he will stand by his dharma and So he went. Brahma Rakshas was startled by his return. Now Rakshas understands the purpose of life and now demands that punyam (palam) of the pasurams that Nambaduvan had rendered. But Nambaduvan said he never praised nimbi for puny. So he can’t give that. Brahma Rakshas now requested for the punyam of last kaisika pan. Now Nambaduvan was taken aback and asked for Brahma Rakshas poorvam. Rakshas revealed that He used to be a Brahmin by the name of Soma-Sharma. He committed some grave mistakes during a Yagam and was cursed to become a Brahma Rakshasa.
On hearing this, Nambaduvan took pity on Brahma Rakshasa and granted him the puny of one song, which he sang in Kaisika Ranga. The Brahma Rakshas was relieved of his bond.
This story narrated by Sri Varaha Perumal to Sri Bhoomi Devi in Sri Varaha Puranam. On this auspicious day, Sri Parthasarathy Perumal had a grand Periya Mada Veedhi purappadu with Ubayanachiyars.
